Now in his second season with The Shire, defender Alex joined the club in December 2025 and was one of Callum Tapping’s first signings as manager.
The 20-year old is a product of the Heart of Midlothian academy and got his first taste of Lowland League football as a 16-year old with the Hearts B side. Alex has also played within both the East of Scotland Football league and West of Scotland Football League, having represented local side Camelon Juniors and Gartcairn FC, before stepping back into the Lowland League with The Shire last season.
A combative left-footed defender, Alex quickly established himself in the defence and has proven to be a goalscoring threat from set-plays too.
