Now the third Tapping brother to represent The Shire, midfielder Jay follows in the footsteps of his older brothers, Shire favourite Jordan and current manager Callum, in pulling on the black and white hoops of East Stirlingshire.
Jay is no stranger to the club and was a regular fixture as a ballboy during the clubs early Lowland League days a decade ago, and the Falkirk-local signed for his older brother during the summer of 2026.
Jay also previously worked under his brother at Dunipace U20’s, where he was an integral part of the treble-winning Dunipace side during the 2021/22 season alongside current Shire defender Kyle Ewing.
