A veteran of the Scottish Lowland Football League, wide-man O’Neill joined The Shire in 2024, following a brief 6 month spell at Albion Rovers and 8 years at Cumbernauld Colts, where he was inducted into the Lowland League Hall of Fame.
The popular winger hasn’t slowed down at all, having scooped the Shire’s Players’ Player of the Season award in his debut 2024/25 season, alongside an inclusion in the 2024/25 Lowland League Team of the Season.
The skilful 32-year old followed up his debut season by being voted as Shire’s Supporters’ Player of the Year for 2025/26 and was appointed as vice-captain of The Shire this summer.
